Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE) programs are available throughout Ohio at no charge to adults. As you plan your future, you may realize there are areas of study that you need to complete in order to move forward with self confidence. ABLE is a great place to start.

General Educational Development Diploma

ABLE programs are in every county in the state of Ohio to provide students the skills they need to move forward with their education. Our friendly ABLE staff can help provide the following:

  • Stronger reading, writing and math skills to help you score well on tests (WorkKeys, COMPASS, Accuplacer, ACT, SAT, ASVAB, Health Education Systems Inc., Work-related tests)
  • Higher level reading, writing and math (transitions courses) to place into college level classes
  • GED (General Equivalence Diploma)
  • Improve reading skills to be a confident information gatherer
  • Improve English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in oral and written communication skills
